About Event

Cony High School Class of 1972 40th Reunion - Donations needed for Raffle items! We need to raise money to fund the start up costs for the next reunion. Date: Friday, August 10th Time: 5:30PM We have a section of the restaurant now reserved due to the large number of responses Location: Roosters Restaurant on Friday Night - Near the Augusta Civic Center, (formerly the Ground Round) they will have entertainment from 5:30 to 8:30 Roosters is large enough to accommodate our group. You will be ordering off the menu if you choose to eat (or eat before you arrive). Because they are actually giving us about half of their restaurant space, it would be great if you all chose to eat there, whether it be just appetizers or a full meal. As long as they continue to have orders for food or beverages going in we can stay until they close. We will be attempting to do a 50/50 raffle and sell tickets for any donated raffle items received. Please bring an item for the raffle or help us by buying some 50/50 tickets! Date: Saturday, August 11th Time: 5:30PM Location: The Gin Mill on Saturday Night – Up above the River Front Barbecue ( formerly the Millers Thumb Pub), Water St, Augusta Parking and entrance in the rear of the building. The Gin Mill will have entertainment on Saturday evening so we won't have to worry about booking a band or a DJ. Several of us have hosted (or attended) retirement parties there and the size seems perfect for our group. Try to come at 5:30 so we can get all the seats we can together. You will be able to order from their menu, or you can go to an area restaurant for dinner before you arrive. We will be posting this information on Facebook, Classmates.com, The Cony Alumni Website and the Kennebec Journal. The deadline for a YES or NO response was July 1st. That was so we could try to gauge the size of the expected crowd. The response has been encouraging so far. If you have not already responded, PLEASE let us know if you can make it by July 15th at the latest, by e-mailing Patty Daggett Castonguay at Ppayroll@myfairpoint.net. Please give us your name, and the names of your guest, mailing address, and e-mail address for our records. If you have an item to donate for the raffle or would like to make a monetary donation, please let me know that as well. Donations of any type will be accepted the night(s) of the reunion.
