Gordon L. Bickel, Sr.
Class of 1948
Gordon was elected Porter TWP Clerk for 10 years, then later elected as Cass County Commissioner for 8 years. During his Commissioner years, one of the most noticeable things he accomplished was a flasher light at the intersection of M-40 and US 12. It took a great deal of effort and time, but well worth it because there have been no deaths at that intersection since the installation of the flasher.
