Darien News Obituary Aug 8, 2018: Jeannie Karen Brown (née Russell), 66, died too soon on Monday, August 6, 2018, after courageously fighting cancer for four and half years.Jeannie was born on August 20th, 1951 in Hartford, Connecticut, to Elaine and Hector Russell. She grew up in Concord Massachusetts with her brother Lee and sister Sheila, where she enjoyed playing by the Concord River, climbing trees and listening to the Beatles. She graduated from Concord Carlisle high school in 1969, after which she attended the University of Maine. While there, she married her first husband, Don Young, and raised her children with him in western New England. She was a loving mother to her four children.Jeannie moved to coastal Georgia in 1996, where she later met and fell in love with Rocky Brown. They were married in 2011.he is survived by her husband, Rocky Brown; her four children.
