With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Robert Sirk/Sironen, age 45, on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Wyoming, Michigan. While we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing that Jason is now living in the presence of Jesus.
Jason was born on September 27, 1980, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and graduated from Comstock Park High School in 1999.
Jason was “Born Again” at the age of 16, but had later on fallen away from the Lord. Recently, he had come back and was attending New Hope Community Church in Rockford where he was learning and growing in the Lord.
Jason was known for his loving servant's heart, comforting bear hugs, warm smile that lit up his face, loyalty and deep infectious laugh. Jason spent his final morning doing what he loved: working alongside men from New Hope Community Church to help someone in need. Jason passed away quickly and peacefully later that evening from natural causes.
Jason always puts others before himself. He was meticulous in all he did, from having every work tool neatly lined up in a specific place, to his amazing paintings on the walls of his home and rock formations in his yard.
Jason is survived by his parents, Jane and Gordon Sironen; his sisters, Tanya (Tom) Boyce, Angie (Josh) Willis, Kelly Sirk Llewellyn; and brother, Jeffery Sirk; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Richard Allen Sirk.
Please join the the family for a memorial to celebrate the life of Jason on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at New Hope Community Church, 6175 Northland Drive NE, Rockford, MI. The gathering will begin at 10:00 am with an opportunity to meet with the family and enjoy coffee and a donut from Marge's Donut Den, in honor of Jason's Saturday morning tradition of getting two donuts from Marge's. A service will follow at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to New Hope Community Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
