About	Alice Ann (Brown) Washington, 89, departed this life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Mercy Hospital with her family by her side. Alice was born in Springfield, MA on February 3, 1928 to the late Rev. Solomon B. Brown and the late Mollie Dean (Harrison) Brown. Alice had four siblings who predeceased her Elizabeth, Theodore, Josephine, and Herman. Alice graduated from High School of Commerce and Wesson Memorial Community School of Nursing. Alice (Honeybunch) was married on June 12, 1948 to Elijah Washington, Sr. They had three children, Elizabeth, Elijah and the late Mollie. Alice has five grandchildren Tunisia, Elijah III, Alyza, Mollie, and Solomon and five great grandchildren. Alice also leaves several extended family and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 17 John Street, Springfield, MA 10:00 AM – Noon with Funeral at Noon. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery immediately following. Henderson Funeral Home is in charge of all professional services.
