About	Linda R. Mendenhall (Carter-Malone), 74 transitioned to her eternal home on Monday, September 26, 2022 Surrounded by her loving family at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Linda was born August 25, 1948 in Springfield Massachusetts to Ethel Brace, Daniel Carter Sr. & Charles Brace Sr. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers Daniel Carter, Thomas Carter and sister Gail Brace. Linda grew up in Springfield where she attended Commerce High School. She worked at the former Spalding sporting goods center in Chicopee for many years. What started as a decision to stay home temporarily to watch her first grandchild, turned into her second career as the owner of Little Tikes Daycare for over twenty years. She loved to cook, watch cooking shows, shop with her sister and best friend Gail, watch the Boston Celtics, listen to old school music and most importantly spend time with her family especially looking forward to the Saturday pokeno games they had. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband John Mendenhall, daughter Lynne Malone, son Michael K. Malone Jr. (Freda), beloved grandchildren Brisje Malone, Mike’l Malone, and Sacoy Malone who were the loves of her life, her great granddaughter Harlynne Malone who was her ray of sunshine, her loving sisters Gail Carter of Springfield, and Donna Carter of Marietta, GA, sisters in law Carrie Carter and Delores Goolsby. Linda was regarded as a favorite aunt, she will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
