About	Marjorie Alberta (Brown) Wallace, 80, of Union Street, departed this life on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Aberdeen, NC, she was a daughter of Alberta (Cooley) Brown and Horace Peterkin. Marjorie relocated with her family to Springfield in 1952 and graduated from The High School of Commerce. She began a career as a dietician working for the airlines. Marjorie was a devout member of United Temple Church Of God In Christ where she held the honor of Mother Of The Church and served as Church Treasurer. She was a member of Obie Knox Lodge #1568, Past President of the Antler Guard, member of Hospitality, and served as Chaplain. Marjorie was pre-deceased by her beloved parents, a brother, Herman Brown, and two sons, James and Gary Steed. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, David Wallace of Springfield; a brother, Ace Brown of Aberdeen, NC; six children, Joseph Steed, Marilyn Steed, Debbie Steed, and Carolyn Steed, all of Springfield, Ronald Steed of Worcester, MA, and David Steed of Cheshire, MA; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren . The walk-thru calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrell Funeral Home followed by the funeral at 11 with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required.
