About Me	I am a servant of the People, and I intend to continue to fight for them and bring their voices to the decision table. Brandyn L. McElroy, Born in Columbus, OH to Jobbie and Melita McElroy of North East Columbus. As a young man Brandyn was very involved in the community and active in the local scene. During his summers and after school Brandyn was involved in the E.S.C.A.P.E. program, a development program that opened children up to the world of media and local reporting. In 1999 Brandyn covered the story that would change his life. A young man was running for Mayor of Columbus, OH by the name of Michael B. Coleman, Brandyn had the opportunity to interview him for a few minutes and ask him why he was running for office, his reply inspired young Brandyn to also be a character of Change and reform for the betterment of his local community. As he grew Brandyn took on the challenges of Middle School and High School as the Leader of student Government, Graduating Student Body President, and Senior Class President. He went on to become a Board member of Campfire USA of Central Ohio, and served an active term of 2 years. During his senior year in high school Brandyn also sat on the Task Force to build and develop the Far South Columbus Area Commission (FSCAC), which was then presented and accepted by Columbus City Council in Oct 2008 as a Commission of the City. Brandyn started a small youth organization with long time friend Tristan Hall and travels the country speaking to youth about making positive an healthy decisions and preparing themselves for life. He was elected to be a Commissioner of FSCAC by the residence and is the Vice President of this Local Commission; he is also the President of The Community Recreation Council.
