Sean Johnson

Sean Johnson

Class of 1993

If you had attended Colon High School in the early 90's,you knew that going to sporting activities, you would see sean dominating! he lettered 4 years in basketball,4 years in baseball, and 3 years in football.he was nominated all conference in basketball and baseball 3 times a peice, all state in baseball, and all conference mvp twice in baseball and twice in basketball.
What you may not know.Sean went on after school to strive for another greatness.Sean joined the military, and was deployed twice to Iraq. His unit was to perform house searches and street sweeps. The first time he was gone for 15 months 2 days, and was shot in the right arm.the second time he was deployed for 9 months 6 days and was injured in a roadside bomb, resulting in 7 surgeries, the most major being a spinal fusion with 2 rods and 6 screws in his back.Although he may not be the athelete that most would remember him by,he has served his country well, and has almost made a full recovery.I am asking that my husband be honored in some way by the place he grew up,he never got to have a good homecoming from the Middle east due to injuries, all he ever talks about is wanting to feel that he is appreciated no matter how people feel about the war! this may be off the wall, and not sure if you are willing to help.thank-you for your consideration!
