| About Me | YOU KNOW YOU LIVE IN RENO WHEN.. ... it snows and two seconds later its sunny. ...when you smell weed constantly ...when you talk to bums regularly! ...everyone who's not from Reno asks if the Police actually wear HOT PANTS. ... you live in the most pathetic town in the world, but you wouldn't have it any other way. ...there are more Californians than people who were actually BORN in Nevada. ...your night light is a casino. ...you get summer, spring, winter, and fall. ...you do the same things at the same places every weekend because there is nothing better but its always fun. ...any and every time you hear "fourth street" you giggle like a little school girl ...for everytime u say hey you get 2 hola's ...people yell your name and you have no clue who they are, so you just smile and wave. ...you still call the Grand Sierra Resort the Hilton. ...you are not a pedophile when you have sex with a 16 year old.... ...the first thing you do when you turn 18 is go to suzies ...you are sitting in the car deciding where you gunna go becuase "there are so many things to do that theres nothing to do" ...there are more straightedge shows in one weekend than there are other kinds of shows in a year. ...if "hyphy" is a new word to you... the hyphy movement in the bay started two years ago ...when everyone you no is on probation, and so are you. ...entertainment is going on the mccarren loop ...the used is the best band in the world and you no everyword to everysong they've made. ...all of your friends have nicknames, from random ass experiences. ...everyone knows everyone because everybody smokes weed. ...your idea of a good time is going to the coconut bowl or fun quest ...you get caught jay-walking and actually get a ticket for it. ...if youre 16 and you still have to take citi fare to get anywhere. ...you see people in the snow wearing flip flops ...you can take pole dancing class and call it a work out ...when kids that aren't from Reno ask you what 'Straight Edge" is and they put there fingers up like quotes ...your hanging out downtown and people are screaming and running around and jumping off shit and throw things at each other and the only thing u do is turn your head and scream with them a few times and then go one with your business.. - Everyone is straitedge, regardless of the fact that they drink, smoke, and smoke weed because its Reno's new trend of people who want to be recognized or stand out even though they're the same as everyone else. - Cops pull you over "just because" -ppl come to school everyday high and/or drunk -You take endless bottles of boose from the Scolaris at Caughlin because you know you wont get caught -Anywhere you go, when you meet new people, they swear they've met you somewhere before. -You and your friends enjoy offroading and drag racing in the middle of the night just because you like the cops to chase you (cuz theyre not fast enough) ... you cant wait to get the hell away but when you finnally manage to the only thing you wanna do is go visit. ...you are constantly looking for new back roads to spend "quality time" with your girlfriend and everyone you find theres already a car parked there. ...One word......."Hella" ....if you have swam in the river fully clothed. .....when people get super excited when they hear "Burning Man" ....... you hear the Term " Welcome To Lemmon Valley" ...... you can find your way downtown and everywhere else when your 12 or 13 .... You see a fight and instead of stopping it, you yell, "FIGHT!" ---when your best friends bf is your old best friends brothers cousins boyfriend because everyone has hooked up/dated everyone. ---When you get annoyed at all the people around the country who say NE-VA-DUH, people who live in NE-VAA-DA call it NE-VAA-DA, therefore it is pronounced, NE-VAA-DA...ask Harry Reid. :] .... You can walk into a sushi bar and ask for "all you can eat" and the waitress doesn't look at you like your fuckin nuts! ----When there is a trailer park named after one of your friends.. ----When every new girl you meet has already done dirty dirty things with one of your friends... ----you at least see one person you know everywhere you go. ----when you see a 400 lb security guard at the mall. .............when ur at a park and people are smoking pot or drinking ----when you live in the dumbest state in the union and are still the most intelligent teenager in the entire country ----When in June it's 80 one day and the next day it's 35 and snowing ----when you see signs everywhere that say "Build This Las Vegas" and you're proud of it....yea...that's right ---when the Nevadan democrats support everything in that party and still tell the liberal Californians to get the fuck out ----When you ask the question, "Why the fuck did you move here?" ----When your grandparents love to visit you because they can go to the Casino ----When the farther away from anything you get before you drink...the more likely you are to get caught... ----When you...(read more) |
