US Naval Air 4 years. Honorable discharge as E-5 Aviation Ordnance (AO2). Served with VAQ 131 on USS Kitty Hawk. Vietnam vet. 4 tours. Awarded Presidential Unit Citation. Traveled to Hawaii, Philippines, Japan, and Hong Kong on West Pac cruises. Got to land on the Kitty Hawk in an A3 jet in war zone.

KS Army NG for 4 years with 21 USAF Reserve and returned to Missouri Army National Guard for last 18 months. Now with helicopter battalion out of Whiteman AFB. Two tours for Operation IEF and OIF. Returning for 3rd and 4th tours consectively in October 2011.

US Navy - Joined on 'Buddy System' with Robert Stewart and Newell Jones, BootCamp and 'A' School in San Diego, Ca - Spent 4yrs,7mos, 28days active duty, of which 4yrs and 1 day were spent on the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) during the VietNam Conflict - 'IC3' - Worked motor rewind shop, sound powered shop, movie booth, forward Gyro, (P)ilot (L)anding (A)id (T)elevision Group, and was a Radio DJ in my spare time - 3 WestPac Cruises - It was a totally 'amazing ride', not to be forgotten. Finished 6 year total service in a US Navy Reserve unit in San Jose, California as a (S)tore(K)eeper Third Class (SK3).

Retired as a Chief Machinist Mate. I served in both Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. While in the Navy, I was stationed on 4 different aircraft carriers in all 4 corners of the United States, I was stationed in Bermuda and sailed the seven seas.
