Coeburn High School or not?

I've been hearing that our school board member is saying that the citizens in Coeburn do not desire a high school. I feel reasonably sure this is a rumor; however, can anyone confirm this?
Also, would like to see a poll taken about how the alumni feels about the school's name change. Most everyone I've talked with are upset and wish the school go back to its original name. I confirm. Is it possible to put enough pressure on our elected officials to accomplish this? It can be do. Besides writing letters and voting; what else can we do?

Help for CHS

being the resource officer at CHS, I am task with keeping the youth of Coeburn safe and providing them with a safe learning enviroment. With school shooting in the last few weeks being what seems more prevelent I am asking anyone in the Coeburn community for support. Myself and the administration of Coeburn High are in the process of applying for 40,000 dollars worth of grants.
