We're about two months away from our reunion weekend. More and more it's looking like golf on Saturday August 17, hopefully starting at 10 am at Idylwild in Livonia. I need to hear of those that want to join the fun, and it is always fun with this group!
I've asked for tee times for 24 golfers. Please let me know if you are going to golf and if you have someone else golfing with you. We'll figure out teams next.
Also - how about we have the all (all means all - January, June, and August!) class of 1969 gathering at 5 pm on Saturday at The One Under Bar and Grill, adjacent to Idylwild Golf course. The nice thing about this gathering is that it will not be weather dependent; we may be outside or inside, which ever is more comfortable. Stay as long as you can. Let me know if you can attend
We already have the tent, tables and chairs rented for the picnic on Sunday. Same as last year.
Soon I'll let you know about who has informed me that they'll attend, especially those who are coming in from out of state. Would certainly like the locals to make every effort to make this the best possible 55th anniversary reunion. I recognize some of the challenges to attending while at the same time overcoming them and making it happen makes it even that more special.

Cody High Class of 1969 - 55 Year Reunion Weekend -

In the upcoming months, I'll be passing along info on the gathering/celebration/55 year reunion. For the 55th, it'll be something like a golf outing, an evening gathering for just our class of 1969, and then joining the big Cody 50's and 60's picnic in Edward Hines, Sunday August 18 at Edward Hines Park, at the Nankin Mills site. 11 am - 6 pm. This is southwest of the intersection of Farmington Rd and Ann Arbor Trail, and 1/3 of a mile southwest of the intersection of Farmington Rd and Joy Road.

If you are interested, could you let me know as such and where you would be coming from? As I recall, about 50% of the classmates still live in the Detroit metropolitan area (e.g. as far away as Brighton or Ann Arbor), 25% live in the state of Michigan but outside the Detroit metropolitan area, and 25% live outside the state of Michigan with Florida being the most common place.

Also, it would help me out if you could let me know who from our class that you are in contact with, just have contact information on or would really like to see after all these years. Out of the nearly 1200 graduates in the year 1969 (January, June and August) I have some information on about 600 of our classmates. Sadly, I know of about 110 classmates that have passed away.
