About	William C. Mattice October 7, 1954 - July 27, 2014 Cobleskill: William C. Mattice, Jr. 59, of Pine Street Cobleskill died suddenly on Sunday July 27, 2014 at his home. William was born October 7, 1954 in Schenectady, NY a son of William Charles and Phyllis Arlene (Egnor) Mattice. He graduated from the former Cobleskill High School in 1973 and later, enlisted in the US Navy where he served aboard the submarine, USS Patrick Henry. He received an honorable discharge in 1978 and returned home to the Cobleskill area and began his career in logging, operating Big B Logging based in Sprakers, NY. William was a member of the Canajoharie Moose Club. Survivors include his wife, Mayrene(Leonard) Mattice whom he married on December 17, 1977, a daughter Naydene Mattice, 2 granddaughters Lyndsai Garren and Alexis Garren, one brother Sean Patrick Mattice and two sisters Cynthia Mattice-Diamond and Audrey Mattice-Lane, a niece Nona Lane and nephew Brian Armer and brother-in-law Bruce Armer. There will be no formal services or calling hours. The Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill is assisting the family.
