| About Me | Supported my husband when he was deployed for the war by leaving the Army to care for our 11 day old son. After the war we began our life together and welcomed our daughter into the world 18 months after her brother. From there we were stationed at a rural area Alaskan Army base; where I became an Independent Rural Area Social Worker Assistant. I created a food pantry and assisted Russian Immigrants to file for assistance. While in Alaska we welcomed our son 2 years after our daughters birth. After living in Alaska for 3 years my husband retired from the Army and we moved to Upstate NY where we have resided for 22 years. I have enjoyed a full life from raising a family, working to volunteering. I worked in the school system for many years while my children were in school. Once my second child was going off to college I quit working at the school and enrolled in collage myself. I worked for a catering company doing Non for profit fundraising for about 7 years until my boss/friend found out he had a brain tumor and died six months later. I have been the Superintendent of Sunday school at my church, Created a Contemporary Youth Worship Service, joined the Inter-Church Counsel board and resided for several years. My kids graduated college and my daughter had a beautiful baby girl. My son married and had a beautiful sassy baby girl and I just found out at Christmas my son and his wife are expecting their 2nd child. My husband and I are celebrating 29 years together this year. I have been truly blessed. Unfortunately, life isn't fair and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Psoriatic Arthritis and End Stage Endometriosis. I have undergone 4 surgeries in the past 2 years; the last one being for a broken ankle right before Christmas. Good news is I can only go up from here.
