| About Me | “I had no idea what I was going to write about my sister that would describe her the best and make her happy. After listening to the stories told about Shannon by her friends, the following eulogy best describes Her” Our Shannon is the coolest person that I have ever met. She maybe my sister, Gary and my mothers daughter, but in her short 30 years, she has become Our Shannon. Shannon didn't have an easy life by far, but she made of it the best that she could. The path that she took in life led her to new opportunities, and along the way, the meeting of new friends and family. Shannon touched the lives and hearts of everyone she met. You couldn't help but to fall in love with her personality, her beauty, her long gorgeous hair, and her smile. If you had the honor to be called her friend or family, then you will know that with Shannon it meant for life. No matter how mad or disappointed she would become, in the end, you would still be her friend or family. Her heart was too big and generous to have it any other way. In the past 8 years, Shannon has lived a life that most could only hope for. She traveled all over, saw so many beautiful things. She worked 6 days a week, helped organize bike events, traveled, had a grueling schedule at times, but always found time to take care of our mother, Gary, Devon, John, Glenda, Maya, and even me. My mother just told me that she will miss the multiple phone calls that she received from Shannon each day wanting to know if she needed anything, how she was doing, if she was ok. Our Shannon will be greatly missed by all, but now it is all of our duties to make sure that she will never be forgotten. Then again, who could ever forget her? I have never felt this much pain in my life... Shannon would never want anyone to dwell on mourning her passing. She would want us to continue on with her always in our memories. Please never take life for granted. Be like my precious little sister, live life each day like it is your last, because it could be. Please give your loved ones a hug and make sure you tell them you love them as much as possible. There are many things that I have learned from Shannon, but the most important one out of them all is a simple one: Look to the future and never to the past, for the future has yet to be written, the past is done and can never be changed....... WE WILL FOREVER LOVE AND MISS YOU ...(read more) |
