Elvis Ronnie Leo Fields Class of 2003
National Guard, 8 Years Joined at the age of 17 and became a Bridge Crew Engineer at the Big Stone Gap Armory. Was deployed to Iraq from 2004 to 2006 for OIF 2, 3 and start of 4. Made my second deployment to the middle east in 2007 returned home in 2008. I am now serving in the Gate City unit and I am a Sergeant.
Greg Phipps Class of 1982
Army, 8 Years I spent 8 wonderful years serving n the us army where I met classmates several times Lena Crabtree I saw in Ga. Jeffery Kevin Mullins I met on my second trip to Germany it really is a small world
Phil Davis Class of 1973
Air Force, 20+ Years Airport Management Supervisor - Spent 4 tours in USA - McClellan AFB, CA-Duluth IAP, MN- 1year Rhein Main, Germany- 7 years Soesterburg AB, The Netherlands (Holland) - 1 year Galena AFB, AK - 3 years Aviano AB, Italy- 4 years Mildenhall AB, England and retired from Wright Patt AFB, Oh with numerous TDY's (temporary duties) throughout numerous area's in the world - Involved in the Vietnam Era - Desert Storm and other conflicts during my time of service - Married a Dutch National while in The Netherlands - Currently work in Dayton, Oh as Operations Manager for a freight brokerage firm. Proud to serve the United States of America!!!!
Sharon Cox Class of 1989
Air Force, 9 Years I spent 9 years active duty and separated as a SSgt. My husband is still active and we have been stationed at Charleston AFB, SC, Dyess AFB, TX; Andersen AFB Guam, Ellsworth AFB, SD, Fort Jackson, SC and finally back to ELLSWORTH. I am currently an Air Force Civilian.
Wesley Lemarr Class of 1987
Army, 20+ Years After 26 years of service I retired in 2013. The values that were instilled during my youth in Clintwood led me to become very successful in the military. Thank you to all of the Faculty and Friends that pushed me in the right direction. A special thanks to Greg Cyphers without him I would not be where I am today.
