TERRY DAVID WALKER
March 21, 1949 – October 29, 2022
Bedford, Texas – Terry Walker, age 73, went home to his Heavenly Father October 29, 2022. We will miss our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, but we are thankful he is now free from the pain and suffering he endured while fiercely battling cancer and numerous other illnesses. A Celebration of Life with family and friends was held December 3rd 2022.
Terry was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Clinton Township. He was a member of the Clintondale H.S. Track Team. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Koester in 1969. They have two beautiful daughters, Stephanie (Harp) and Lindsey (Wilson) and are blessed with loving grandsons, Colton (Harp) and Parker (Wilson).
Terry served in the Michigan Air National Guard as an aircraft electrical repairman. His career path then led him from Chrysler Corp. (Michigan), to Eastern Airlines (Florida), and American Airlines (Texas) where he retired in 2012 after 20+ years.
Through the years he enjoyed golfing and bowling. He loved cruising and showing his VetLag Corvette which won numerous show awards and accumulated 100,000 plus miles cruising with his Lone Star Corvette Club friends!
But most important to Terry was his family. Family always came first. He loved watching his grandsons play sports as well as quietly visiting at family gatherings.
Terry is survived by his Wife of 53 years, Linda; daughters Stephanie and Lindsey (Jeff); grandsons Colton and Parker; brother Kevin Walker (Pat); brother-in-Law Dave Koester (Sharon); sisters-in-Law Joyce Kaufman, and Bev Fisher and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was pre-deceased by his parents Richard I. Walker and Ida (Brecker); and his brother Richard “Rick” Walker.
