Alumni Stories
Hilda Hickman
Class of 1964
Hilda started writing as a way to keep guests coming to her Bed & Breakfast near the Great Smoky Mountains in the winter months. She wrote and published four Murder Mysteries during the years 1992 through 1996. These were entertainment packages and guests would stay a week-end and solve a murder. She later published these as packages for other Bed & Breakfast to have to perform. Her next writing endevor was some years later. In 2007 she wrote a short story and has performed it at "Storytelling" events in Knox, Sevier, Loudon and surrounding areas. Her latest writing has been published in a national magazine, "Good Old Days--Looking Back". It is a story about her husbands family and was told to her by her husband.
