Kenneth Sommers, 64, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born in NJ on May 8, 1956, he was the son of George and Eleanore (Gurzynski) Onischuk (divorced). He is preceded in death by his parents.
A graduate of Clifton High School 1974 in NJ and St. John’s University in NYC for photography, Ken was an avid photographer and musician. He also greatly enjoyed the natural sciences.
Ken is survived by 3 daughters, Melissa Petruska, Kristin Sommers, and Aria Sommers; sister, Elaine Onischuk; former wife and mother of Aria, Gabrielle Sommers.
Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland is assisting the family with final arrangements and a private cremation.
