I served in the Army from 1997 through 2005. After basic and AIT (journalism school -- DINFOS, Fort Meade), I went to Korea then to Fort Campbell where I deployed to Afghanistan (2002). My last assignment was at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Although I left active duty in 2005, I did remain in the Department of Defense as a civilian working at West Point. The picture is of my wife and I ... I met my wife at Fort Meade and we've been married for eight years now and have two children.

I served in the Army from 1997 through 2005. After basic and AIT (journalism school -- DINFOS, Fort Meade), I went to Korea then to Fort Campbell where I deployed to Afghanistan (2002). Flew as an Aircraft Carrier Based Naval Aviator, (after having completed Flight Training in early 1962), aboard three different Carriers in South Pacific and in the Gulf Of Tonkin off North Vietnam ('62-'66). Was privileged to have been chosen to serve on the Team that introduced the early version of today's Turbo Prop driven E-2 Hawkeye acting as "The Eyes of the Fleet" providing a wide range of AWEX, (Airborne Early Warning and Control), services to whichever Task Force it was assigned. Spent most of two deployments in '64-'66 supporting bombing, fighter control and search and rescue operations in the Northern end of the Gulf of Tonkin off north Vietnam.
