Slight changes....Our current expected # of attendees is at 78 persons as of October 23, 2018 for our 50th High School Reunion of October 27, 2018. This is due mostly to some out-of-state classmates who had conflicting schedules. We were at 83 persons up until days ago. Everyone who is attending has paid and registered long in advance for our 50th Reunion for Clayton High School (NC) Class of 1968 !!!

SPECIAL NOTE: THE HOME FOOTBALL GAME, PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR OCT. 26 HAS BEEN CHANGED, PER THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR (DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST ON OCTOBER 26, TO PLAY ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2018 AT 7:00 P.M. This is last minute, but I have submitted posts, emailed classmates, and called classmates to get the word out to all.

We have new plans for Friday, October 26, 2018. Call me to discuss. All classmates should have my phone number and email address.

EVERYTHING FOR OCTOBER 27, 2018 IS ON SCHEDULE...NO CHANGES! Look forward to our 50th CHS Reunion and seeing classmates very soon!

Our Class of ’68 Reunion Committee has been hard at work planning a 50th Reunion that everyone will want to attend. This 50th Reunion is for everyone who EVER attended school with the Class of '68. So, if you attended school with our class in the 1st grade, the 7th grade, or whenever, YOU ARE INVITED! We've already reconnected with a few classmates from elementary school and junior high (middle school).

On the night prior to the reunion, October 26, 2018, a home football game is scheduled with Smithfield/Selma. Those attending this game may sit together in reserved seating. When our class played football, the Comets were the first ever to win All-Conference for two consecutive years. Consider attending the home football game that will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 --- It would be good to have an idea of how many to expect in attendance for the football game.

If anyone would like to tour the high school, let us hear from you well in advance so a tour can be planned.

The reunion sign-in on October 27th at Monti Hall’s will begin at 6:00 p.m., with appetizers being served until 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Announcements and great music will follow. May want to bring some cash for 50/50 raffle, etc.

As we have to uphold our commitment for the reunion and plan accordingly for an exact number, we are offering an early-bird registration of $40/per person OR $80/per couple for the reunion for registration forms and checks/money orders received by March 31, 2018. After April 1, the fee is $50 for one person OR $90 for a couple up until August 1, 2018. In all fairness to everyone, only pre-registrations will be honored to properly prepare for the number expected. No door sales! A registration form will be mailed to all we find addresses for you to return with your check or money order as soon as possible. Keep this invitation/flyer on a bulletin board or refrigerator and put these dates on your calendars.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the 50th Reunion!

Casual attire or business casual attire would be fine.
