About	While at my baby shower, this picture was one of the last pictures taken of Ashley, six days before death. Birmingham News (AL) - August 31, 2006 "Manslaughter charges in fatal wreck dropped: A Jefferson County judge has dismissed manslaughter charges against a Trussville teenager involved in a fatal wreck that killed a father and daughter, Kenneth and Ashley Weant, and seriously injured a mother, Shirley, court records show. Edgar Martinez, 19, was charged with two counts of manslaughter, one count of first-degree assault and felony leaving the scene of an accident in the July 8 wreck on Chalkville Mountain Road. In a hearing Tuesday, District Judge Sheldon Watkins dismissed all charges except leaving the scene." As stated above, the charges were dropped once already, but the sole survivor of the wreck, Shirley Weant has a new trial in civil court coming up in the 1st week in January. Myself along with a few other of Ashley’s friends will be there in support.
