Vernitta was a religious and remarkable friend. Once in class I remember her telling me about her meeting gospel singer, Yolanda Adams. We lost touch over the years and I was deeply saddened to hear from relatives that she passed away. Rest in heavenly peace "angel". You were a warrior for God even when I wasn't quiet there yet.
