About Me	I've had 4 or 5 distinct careers, depending on how you count. Mostly running my own businesses in engineering consulting, project management, teleconferencing, datacom -- you get the idea, techie stuff. I also did a stint as a journalist & contributing editor for CNET and Ziff-Davis; during the 1990s, there were rarely fewer than 1 million copies of my byline on newsstands. In the 2010s, I became a caregiver for my elderly parents and during that time, I also treated myself to law school. I finished up my career as a patent attorney in 2023 and am now retired in Hawaii, where I raise chickens and spend a lot of time listening to and writing music.
