About Me	Most of my post-high school years have been spent as a student, but for the last two years I have been practicing law with a large law firm in Dallas. No, I don't chase ambulances, handle criminal matters, or practice family law (though I did handle one pro bono divorce). I primarily work on complex commercial and multijurisdictional litigation - a dressed up description for high stakes law suits representing large corporations like Texas Instruments, Michaels Stores, EDS, Motorola, Occidental Chemical, etc. The working world has been fine, but I doubt I will ever have a better "job" than being a law student. It's hard to beat going to school in a great college town like Ann Arbor, Michigan. Law school was not at all like it is depicted on television and in the movies. It was far more fun, laid back, and social than I could have expected, though the school I was at probably had something to do with that. Football Saturdays, trips to the local bars with a bunch of friends, hockey games, road trips, tons of free time...I miss it all (though in fairness I enjoy my fall Saturdays even more now that I live close enough to go to many OU games). Aside from the cost, I highly recommend it. I was fortunate enough to be able to share the experience with my fiancee who I met at Cornell as a freshman and attended law school with at Michigan. She too is doing the big law firm thing but as a transactional attorney. When we can find the time we like to travel, but sadly, time is not so easy to come by anymore. It's funny how things work.
