Fire Chief Jack Horner Medical Brg. USArmy, 1951 to 1995. 43 Years. I'm a Fire Chief now and I'm looking for anyone that can tell me about Cpl. Bob Zimberlin. He was killed at Quang Tri on Jul 2, 1967 by hostile, ground casualty gun, small arms fire. His father, Robert E. Zimberlin Sr. is dying of the big "C" and asked me if I could find out anything about his son and what happend that day. Robert E. Zimberlin Jr. was 22 and a Cpl. born in San Diego, CA. He was with his for dad for 2 weeks, surfing during his R&R. Because his remains were never viewed by the family, Bob Sr. is having a hard time telling himself that his son is not wandering around in the Nam! You medics, give another old medic something to tell this man, please. You can write to me at: John D. Horner, c/o Mtn. Fire /Rescue, POBox 259, Mtn. Ranch, CA 95246.
