Had a great and very memorable ride in Tom’s 1967 Corvette 427 while waiting in a registration line at Mesa College. We were going nowhere after hours of waiting. Tom asked if I would like to go for a “ ride” in his new ‘vette”.
He revved the engine to the red line , popped the clutch and the skyline disappeared , re-appeared after the front wheels returned to earth and disappeared again after shifting into second gear. Never forgot that ride
