| About Me | At 7 years old I began mowing lawns and built up about 10 accounts that I would service every 2 wks at $5 ea...including bagging clippings, cutting hedges and edging sidewalks. At 10 years I started as an apprentice millwright and custom woodworker. My job? Sand anything and everything that moved, and sweeping sanding dust and woodchips for $20/wk in my fathers business. I then moved on to interior carpentry and trim by age 12 after school and weekends. I always had money because I always earned money with sweat equity...the most rewarding kind. I can't remember a time during childhood and adolescence that I didn't work. I still do custom woodworking and attend college fulltime for a degree in Health Service Admin, having retired from a 30yr career in consumer marketing. School is a challenge, kids are a challenge,life is a challenge....I embrace challenge with help from above....and grandbabies are blessings that God gives us for being loving parents.
