About Me Unconditional LOVE Lead With Integrity Kith & Kin Ubuntu Sankofa 1+1=3 7Generations It Takes A Village Moccasins Stone Soup The Traveler My bio...well, for now I'll give you a listing of some Facebook posts I've made over the last year, so you can get a more accurate sense of who I am...and ask if you want to know more. -selected FB posts I've made in the last year, will try to update often- Tough financial choices can wake you up from your sleep, and keep you woke LOL. Just answered an online survey, "what makes you happy?" ...Feeling like I'm needed; Having a responsibility to a person(s) and being able to see the progress unfold. You can usually tell a good sales rep from a bad one by how many times they mention money. What I'm really looking for is value; an expirence/relationship that will become priceless with time. Why didn't I go to bed two hours ago!? I'm in the driver's seat, of my own life. I just wish I could get a glimpse of the future to see if I'm going about things in the best possible manner. I enjoy personal development training. City Year is an awesome program! What's the best way to create value? My life will not me a simple one and it will not follow an orderly, linear path; it will be one of passion and growth, no matter which direction I go. That is all, goodmorning facebook. Just finished another good book, and checking my mailbox for the next one to come in; I love learning! Just read to my campers for bedtime-I guess this is practice for parenthood LOL. Just got back from a two-hour walk, I feel good. I'm glad the Bank of Tanzania has finally released its grip on the foreign capitol flowing through micro-finance institutions! A good chunk of my principle has been 'missing' for more than a year. I would like to tell the B of T that that's a whole year's worth of people I couldn't invest in, the ultimate loss, and that this is a commitment to continually re-invest in you! As of today, I'm doubling my savings rate(%). I followed the chewonki tradition this morning, of jumping into a very cold lake at 6am! I gotta say, it was a great way to wake up and start the day LOL I'm still at it, without being tired or groggy. I want a wider world, does anybody know any good papers or sites that focus on the international community? I would really like to become more knowledgable on different countries-and from their perspective. Sometimes I forget that even my heroes are only human. Is enjoying the process of meeting new people in new settings. I'm thinking of getting suited and going to see a play or musical sometime in the next seven days. Wondering if I should take this next opportunity One day I'm make a lucky lady really happy Dear God, did you mean for me to be a therapist, scientist, businessman or entertainer? I need to know, so I can go about finishing my education. Finally enjoying some inner peace. It may be time for me to leaves cincy and spread my wings. Got the 5 year plan Laid out, and I intend to do what I love everyday! Well, at my nadir, I think I've found what makes me happy and what I want to strive for everyday. "Experience is what you get, when you don't get what you want". I"m glad I shared my thoughts with somebody, I have to consciously resist the urge to just bottle up what I'm feeling. Sometimes I wonder if I'm living up to my full potential, sometimes I'm scared I'll never get to do many of the things on my list... then I go back to the drawing board. In all relationships(of all types) that you have you get the sense of whether that person thinks you're a priority or an option. I want to know that I’m a priory in somebody’s book, because I only want to spend my time with priority people! "No person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow." -Alice Walker Just switched from ------ to Credo, to be honest, I didn't like the customer service with Sprint. Yes...I'm one of the 20% of customers who accounts for 80% of the calls and if you're angry with me for asking questions, then I'm afraid we can't do business lol. And putting my new service on automatic payment so I don't have to remember what day it is; I’m no longer rooted to one place. I’m ready to live life! Almost didn't make this month's donation due to serious heart palpitations. God, help fuel my sense of responsibility to my community and mankind through both the peaks and valleys of life. Alright, I'm gonna admit this one ya'll; I watched Oprah today, and I wish to one day have a family like Will Smith's! So I'm waiting on the phone call that could change my life...RING already! LOL Even though I don't plan on bringing a mini-me into this world for like ten years, I thought it'd be nice to at least have some knowledge on the subject. Just got back home from one journey, now prepping to go on to the next one! I'm still searching for my village, still looking to be apart of something bigger than myself. Wondering if anyone is paying attention to me, and whether my life has value to anybody else. There is no way I could have known, initially, that when my life path entered it's current valley, that the currents of its lowpoints would carve out a canyon before making the trek back to the top. Thank goodness I didn't have a rigid plan for my day today, I would have missed out on this opportunity! "regular participation and validation" are going to be priceless in all your relationships. "life is a journey through time, and happiness is what happens, when we make that journey together." e 2015 update, "Today Alex has the busy schedule of a CEO, running his own company, working on a book, as well as philanthropic and advocacy works." Just learned how to play American/Canadian style mahjong, must learn the Chinese & Japanese styles next. Every once in a while, somebody asks about my ethnicity, it still shocks me every time! LOL Where do you think I'm from? I've reached another milestone today, over 100 loans to business women across the world! About to pay a FAT credit card bill for this month, so if ...(read more)
