Hey everyone! We got in touch with Melanie Marshall and Russ Suzuki from CMHS class of 1995. The last two CMHS 20 year reunions were held at the Elks Lodge (4100 W Charleston Blvd); this has become a popular spot for reunions as Western High School has held several of them there as well. Russ and Melanie said their reunion was a huge success, the Elks did a good job and are very familiar with hosting; apparently the food is pretty good too. The positives of doing it here: the model is set, it’s affordable so hopefully no one would be excluded because of price, good food, easy to book. They also said that Dan Zavalla (CMHS class of '94) did the DJ'ing for the last two CMHS reunions and was great. Plus he knows lots of the grads in all the classes, plays all the classic 90's high school music, etc. I went ahead a booked this Elks Lodge for Saturday, 24 September from approximately 6pm-10pm. It is possible to cancel for up to 2 months prior; barring some last minute audible of venue. However, seeing as the reunion date is about 6 months away already, I think getting this set is important. We are currently working on the specifics of the event (exact pricing, food choice, exact time, open bar/cash bar specifics, payment method-most likely Paypal) and will disseminate upon confirmation.
