About	Stacy Michele MacDonald – April 14, 1972 – November 21, 2025 On Friday, November 21, 2025, Stacy Michele MacDonald, age 53, daughter of Alex Roddie and Rita (Lahey) MacDonald, left this world with her parents, her brother Frank, and her nephews, Alex and Aidan by her side. Stacy was born in Detroit on April 14, 1972. She graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Twp., MI in 1990. She graduated from Albion College in Albion, MI with a BA in 1995. She went on to get her Bachelor of Education in Elementary teaching from Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan in 1999 and a Master’s in Early Childhood Development also from Oakland University in 2002. Her teaching career spanned 26 years, first at Lakeville Elementary, then Leonard Elementary, then her many years at Clearlake Elementary in Oxford, MI. She loved her job, her kids, and all the staff at each school where she worked. The MacDonald family would like to thank everyone from her Clearlake family who went above and beyond to help her after her cancer diagnosis nearly 4 years ago. It meant the world to her. To her Chippewa Valley friends, her Albion family, and the close friends she made in her teaching career, thank you for always being there for her. For all your visits, the parcels that you sent, your texts and phone calls checking up on her, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. She needed you and you came through. To all her cousins who came to visit her and relive her earlier years, you made her smile, giggle, and reinforced in her what family is all about. Finally, to all the kids, and their parents, that she had the pleasure of being connected to, you meant the world to her. A lot of stories she brought home from school about this young boy or that young girl brought many smiles to her face as she told them to her family. The many times kids from higher grades came back to see her and talk to her about any issues they were having and to thank her for being their teacher. To all the Doctors and Nurses at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, who tried their best to stop the spread of this brutal disease, thank you and don’t give up.
