Class of 1986
I was a choir member from 6th grade on. In High School we passed from teacher to teacher. Not feeling too great about yet another teacher, or as we called it, a babysitter, we sat in class the first day of 11th grade year. In walked Mr. Greg Lapp. He was the turning point. He was a REAL choir teacher! His excitement turned a few of us, who were jaded by now, around! Coming to his class became the highlight of our day. He put the love of singing back into us. We had compitions, performances, solos! He brought back Treble Tones! The days of singing unrehearsed carols at Bank of America were over! He told us about a music camp in the summer and a few of us attended. It was awesome! I will be forever grateful to Mr. Lapp for putting music back into our souls again. Of course, they cut musics budget and the next year, he wasn't there. We had a nice woman teach the class our Senior year. She was ok. She didn't have that spark. Our year ended on just an ok note. Thank you Mr. Lapp for one great year.
