What is Ev Rowan known for?

Ev Rowan, born Everett Lawrence Rowan on October 18, 1902, in Chillicothe, Ohio, was an accomplished American football player, renowned in the annals of the sport's history. Rowan studied at Chillicothe High School and then at Ohio State University, where he played college football before embarking on his professional career.

Rowan played as an end in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. His career in the NFL began with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1930. He reappeared on the team in the 1932 season, showing his prowess on the field in eleven games and earning nine starts. Following his stint with the Dodgers, Rowan transferred to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1933, where he started in one of two games he played for the team.
