What is Bobby Fulton known for?

Bobby Fulton, born as James Franklin Hines on October 4, 1960, is a well-respected figure in the wrestling world. Hailing from Chillicothe, Ohio, he embarked on his professional wrestling journey on June 17, 1977, under the ring name Bobby Fulton. Fulton's career spanned several decades, retiring on July 16, 2020.

Throughout his early career, Fulton spent time training and wrestling in Ohio with other notable wrestlers like Lord Zoltan, Fred Curry, Bull Curry, and Dr. Jerry Graham. He faced off against Steve Travis and Fred Curry during his time with the WWWF. Fulton also worked his way through several wrestling territories, including Nick Gulas's Nashville territory and Stu Hart's Calgary territory. He teamed up with Eric Embry to form the "brother" tag team of Bobby and Don Fulton.

Perhaps Fulton's most notable career highlight came when he formed the tag team, The Fantastics, with Tommy Rogers. The pair was known for their energetic performances and captivating feuds, the most famous of which was with The Midnight Express. Together they competed in World Class Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions, winning the NWA United States Tag Team Titles on two occasions and the vacant NWA Mid-America Tag Team Championship.

After retiring from the ring, Fulton started his territory in Ohio, called James Hines presents Big Time Wrestling, which was a precursor to Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Based primarily in Circleville, Ohio, this platform saw the likes of Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ronnie Garvin, Abdullah the Butcher, Cactus Jack, and Wahoo McDaniel display their wrestling prowess.
