Benjamin Richard Hartsock, born July 5, 1980, in Chillicothe, Ohio, U.S, is a former American football player renowned for his exceptional skill as a tight-end. Hartsock began his football journey at Unioto High School in Chillicothe, showing great promise as he caught 86 passes for 1562 yards. Not limiting himself to one role, he also played as running back, placekicker, and linebacker, demonstrating his versatile talents on the field.

After high school, Hartsock played college football at the Ohio State University. His performances were both academically and athletically outstanding, earning him three-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree and CoSIDA Academic All-American honors. He was a significant contributor to the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes football team that won the BCS National Championship.

Embracing the professional arena, Hartsock was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft. His career saw him play for multiple NFL teams, including the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, and lastly the New England Patriots in 2014. His NFL statistics are notable, with 31 receptions, 312 receiving yards, and 1 touchdown to his name.
