I remember him mainly from 8th grade (Heritage) shop class. The teacher would call him Tom Destry. I read that he was the drummer for the rock group Cinderella before they became famous, and died in a car accident in 1987.

I remember Tony joining our fourth grade class as a new kid. For most children, being new is awkward and lonely, but Tony fit in right away. He was friendly and full of life.
I didn’t know Tony well, but was sorry to hear of his passing.

Met Tony in the fourth grade and we were like two little goblins in the classroom! We got in trouble for shooting rubber bands at each other. Rekindled our friendship in high school and partied pretty hard. He was a great drummer and had endless energy. He died way too young.
