Escaping Cherry Hill in 1984, Lawrence studied Specialized Merchandising in Philadelphia and then moved to Italy to study at l'Istituto Marangoni and became a Tailor/Fashion Designer. Already working for a designer in LA, Lawrence changed his plans and ended up in Toronto (the Earthquake of 87 was more then what Lawrence could take). 1993, he moved South to NYC and worked for large US labels. In 1997, CK eliminated all freelancers and LP launched his first Haute Couture Collection. By 2000, he was dressing Patti LaBelle, Lauryn Hill, Pizzicata 5 and launched his Ready-To-Wear lines for men and woman. 911 devastated his company, and LP returned to freelancing and ghost designing. He re-launched in 2002 and started building a steady cult clientele worldwide. His garments can be seen in Movies, Music videos, TV shows, and are worn by Divas & Divos, Emperors and even Princes (and families) during state functions, and in private life. Having lived in Paris, Milano, LA, Shanghai, Sydney, and even Sao Paulo/Brasilia, Lawrence considers NYC his home base. Genova, Eboli, and Tokyo are where his family and friends live (and LP travels frequently). "I truly miss the Concord"

My latest collections have been "Negative Carbon Footprint" - using cutting edge technologies, my luxury fabrics are constructed using HEAVY industry landfill waist such as Plastics, Cement blocks & chunks, Iron from Oil Tankers, Mega truck tires, and even glass. Fortunate to have connections world wide, his supply team has also developed a "Water-less Printing" technique that insures no water run off and is environmentally safe. Being fashionable should not have to come at a cost to our world's environment!!!
