Short Eyes, prison slang for a pedophile, was written for a prisoners' writing workshop during Pinero's incarceration for armed robbery. KID MARAVILLA derives from the musical tree-lineage of EL MAYIMBE ANTONY SANTOS, RAULIN RODRIGUEZ, LUIS VARGAS, & TITO GONZALEZ "EL CUCO DE LA BACHATA". KID considers himself fortunate to have been able to mentored by seasoned musician "LA METCHA" seasoned rythmn guitarist for a stretch of 35 years in actions and TITO GONZALEZ "EL CUCO DE LA BACHATA". Mr. Gonzalez was the first to go in the history books as the first to record rythmn guitar/back-up vocals on ANTONY SANTOS' first major studio album LA CHUPADERA which contains the smash hit VOY PA'LLA.
