Age 62, of Scott Twp., passed away on January 22, 2015. Beloved husband of Laura (Blount) Russell for 41 years; loving father of Alicia (Michal) Barbaryka, Suzanne Russell, and Robert Russell; grandfather of Taylor Barbaryka; brother of Mary Ann Scutellis, and Christine Kosky; also survived by his in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert O. and Ann S. Russell. David honorably served in the Army during the Vietnam Era for seven years. After separation, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years, culminating to a postal police captain. He was an active member of the Pittsburgh Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school, was a church pianist, and a Deacon. He was active in the Red Eagle Village Native American Group, and helped run pow-wows for many years. David was also a member of the American Legion for 34 years and he enjoyed volunteering at the Brookline Christian Food Pantry.
