About	Age 63, of Edinboro, died at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Waynesburg, PA., on September 20, 1952, the son of the late Grier C. and Marilyn Barbour. After Gary graduated high school, he attended Penn State University where he earned his Bachelors (B.S.) degree and then earned his Master (M.B.A.) degree from University of Pittsburgh. He was an associate professor and taught at Edinboro University for over 30 years. During his youth, Gary was a Boy Scout and was proud of earning his Eagle Scout. He was involved with the Edinboro Little League, helping as a coach and also was instrumental in the start of the T-Ball League. Gary was a member of the Lions Club, the Thursday Golf League at Riverside Golf Course, the noon basketball league at EUP and ran the shot clock at almost every one of the home EUP basketball games. He was a very enthusiastic fan of Penn State and the Pittsburgh Sports Teams, especially the Steelers and the Pirates. Gary was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Edinboro where he served as a deacon. Survivors include his wife of more than 21 years, Kristin (Allen) Barbour; a son, Gary E. Barbour, II and his wife, Kristin; three daughters, Julie E. Miller and her husband, Chuck, Katie J. Barbour and Melissa A. Barbour; a brother, Larry Barbour and his wife, Barb; six grandchildren, Jordan and Bryce Barbour, Landon, Kelsie, Isiah, and Devin Miller; and is also survived by the mother of his oldest three children, Joan M. Barbour and a granddog, Sylas.
