Age 70, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2017 with his family beside him in St. Clair Hospital. James was born on December 17, 1946. He was a retired crane operator for J&L Steel Co. He was the son of the late Edward Bascovsky and Mary (Hladysh) Bascovsky of CA. James was known for his role in many social clubs around the surrounding communities. He was a proud and loving father to Marnie (Mike) Kondas of New Jersey, and a cherished grandfather to Alexa and Zoey Kondas. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Virginia McLain, Edward Bascovsky, Diane Waterman, and Janice Fisher. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Bascovsky.
