About	Age 73, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Janis Vanags, and brother, Intis Vanags. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sandra Black Vanags, Suwanee, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Kristen Vanags, Atlanta, GA, Christopher and Loren Vanags, Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Leah Vanags, Ian Vanags, Flinn Vanags, Anna Vanags, Joseph Vanags; mother, Laima Berzins, Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Ieva Berzins, Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Vanags was born March 17, 1943 in Latvia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a 1966 graduate of Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was retired from Valmet Automation after twelve years of service. He also worked for the Home Depot in Lawrenceville, GA. He was a member of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, GA.
