Age 61, of Pittsburgh, passed away on May 18, 2016. A well known, respected and very talented lighting gaffer, electric rigger and best boy in the motion picture, television and sports industries. A few local motion pictures Bob assisted in the making were: The Mothman Prophecies, Silence of the Lambs, The Jacksons, Dogma, Wonder Boys, Graduation, Pain Within, Out of the Furnace, Elixir, 10th & Wolf, Unstoppable, Jack Reacher. Television productions included: QVC tour of the United States and numerous countries, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers, various Presidents of the United States, numerous national Democratic and Republican campaigns, as well as commercials. He was the son of the late Mary Jane and Thomas Bender. Survived by his brother, Tom Bender and several nieces and nephews.
