About	Age 59, of Salisbury, passed away at Peninsula Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Daughter of the late Len and Mary Karhu, stepdaughter of Mildred Ellis Karhu of Salisbury. Susie was a 1991 graduate of Salisbury University and was employed at the Holly Center for the last 17 years as a psychologist. She will be remembered for her good sense of humor and quick wit. Susie was an art student in her early years and enjoyed drawing animals and nature. In addition to her stepmother, she is survived by her sister, Nancy Bowman and husband, Dr. Jeffrey Bowman, of Frederick, Md.; her brother, Bruce Karhu and wife, Chris, of Wexford, Pa.; nieces, Lisa Cummings and husband, Greg, and Elana Karhu, both of Pittsburgh, and Brenda Messick and husband, Tim, of Decatur, Ga.; great-nieces, Anna and Aerin of Decatur; nephew, Justin Banks of Salisbury; and a very special great-nephew, Grant Cummings of Pittsburgh. Susie will be remembered by all of her close friends and co-workers at the Holly Center, close friends Mike and Donna and her constant kitty companions, Maisie and Abby.
