About Age 50, of Moon Township, PA. A son of George R. Jucha, Sr. and Antoinette Zombek Jucha. George graduated from Chartiers Valley High School and Slippery Rock University. He was the owner of Independent Recycling and was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. He was a Computer Science Dept. Professor and was ranked 16th in the nation by his students. He loved nature and sought to protect our parks, George participated in events to foster awareness and support of our most precious resources. He exposed the dramatically negative effects of "Fracking" and pollution of our environment. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and coming to the aid of animals, such as housing feral cats. Lastly, he was above all a good friend, family member and overall good man. Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother, Joseph J. (Jocelyn) Jucha; aunts, Charlotte A. Zombek and Patty Jucha; uncles, Richard (Kathy) Jucha and Joe (Patti) Jucha; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bill Jucha.

Tragically, George died in a car accident. He was hit by a drunken driver who was driving in the wrong direction on a highway. Rest in peace, George.
