About	At her home in Montgomery, Ala. A graduate of The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend who touched many lives with her positive attitude, infectious, hearty laughter and loving dedication. She married George P. Rowland III on June 9, 1973, and they remained sweethearts, raising two sons who were her biggest source of pride. She was active in the Presbyterian churches and community organizations wherever she called home. She dearly loved being a homemaker and hostess and was an avid gardener, cook and crafter, who also made many friends online as moderator for pain management groups and playing social media games. She celebrated diversity and cherished all people, which inspired her service as volunteer for and President of the International Festival and Director of ESL at The International Center in Bowling Green. She found great joy in seeing those she helped resettle earn American citizenship. She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Jacob; her parents, Glenn and Elizabeth Shipley; and her parents-in-law. She is survived by sons, Timothy Michael Rowland and David Joseph Rowland; husband, George P. Rowland III; and sisters, Elaine Williams of Germantown, Tenn., Marilyn Vanderpool of Elyria, Ohio, and Beth Debor of Bethel Park, Pa; sisters-in-law, Grace Weekley and Mary Pelletier; and nephews and nieces.
