Age 64, of Poughkeepsie died at home. He was the son of Charles W. and Betty Luther Gainey. Chuck earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and was a graduate of Purdue University. He married Carol Racich and she survives him at home. Chuck worked for IBM for 42 years where he received many awards for his patents.He was a loving, devoted husband and a dedicated father and he will be greatly missed by his loved ones. Chuck is survived by his son Matt Gainey, his daughter Sarah Gainey, brother Mark A. Gainey and his sister and her husband Janet and Thomas Burn. Also his 3 grandchildren Emma, Matthew and Joey.
