About	John died at age 38, very tragically in the USAir Flight 427 crash in Hopewell Twp, PA. It was determined the Boeing 737 had a rudder problem and crashed just seconds from landing at Pittsburgh International Airport, coming from Chicago. There were no survivors, all 132 passengers perished. There is a beautiful monument in Sewickley Cemetery dedicated to all lost on that flight. Beloved husband of Nancy (Matone) Cooper and father of Katie, Adam and John, son of Norma and the late John W. Cooper, brother of Cathy Allen and Cindy Lutz. John was an engineer with West Penn Power Company, a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and a community youth sports coach. Rest in peace, John.
