About	Age 54, beloved friend and husband of Laurie Kress Durkalski, died peacefully November 15, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center-Beaches, Jacksonville Beach, FL, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 17, 1949, in Carnegie, PA, and moved to Jacksonville, FL, in 1984. Gary was an appliance mechanic for the George Sharp Company and was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially the late Dale Earnhardt and enjoyed fishing. Family members include his wife, Laurie Kress Durkalski; daughters, Amy (Matthew) Perry and Linsey Durkalski, both of Jacksonville, FL; mother, Shirley (Tom) Frobe of Bridgeville, PA; brothers, Raymond (Alice) Durkalski, and Ronald Durkalski, both of Pittsburgh, PA; granddaughter, Masie Perry; mother-in-law, Suzanne Kress of Ponte Vedra Beach; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His father, Eugene Durkalski, predeceased him.
